While some conditions are better treated in therapy, many patients benefit from medication. In medication management, our psychiatrists and nurse practitioners work with their patients to determine the right medication options and dosage to treat a variety of psychiatric disorders including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD and bipolar disorder. Patients are then monitored over time to ensure medication efficacy, to adjust medications as needed and ensure the safe use of any potentially addictive medications. Commonly prescribed psychiatric medications include antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, antipsychotics and stimulants.
Because medication management can be a long-term process, it is important for patients to stay committed to the treatment process and follow all recommendations made by our healthcare providers.
